Assessments are built directly into Intertwined's courses. As students move through lessons, they answer quiz questions that are graded automatically and rolled up into your gradebook and performance dashboards — no manual grading required. This article explains how the assessment system is structured.
Three Levels of Quizzes
Quizzes live at three points in the course hierarchy, so you can check understanding at whatever grain you need:
Lesson quizzes — Short checks at the end of an individual lesson, confirming students grasped that specific concept.
Module quizzes — Broader checks covering a full module (a group of related lessons within a unit).
Unit quizzes — Cumulative assessments spanning an entire unit, useful as a chapter test or milestone.
Automatic Grading
Every question is scored the moment a student submits. Because grading is automatic and immediate, students get instant feedback and you don't have to hand-grade anything. Scores feed straight into the Gradebook and the Tracking Performance & Insights tabs.
Where Results Show Up
Once a student completes a quiz, their results appear in several places: the Gradebook (as a mastery score with color coding), the Classroom Performance and Student Performance tabs (as progress and improvement over time), and — for questions they missed — in the review tools covered in 6.4 Reviewing Quiz Results & Missed Questions.
