Can I have multiple classrooms?
Yes. Most teachers create one classroom per class period. You can have unlimited classrooms across your teacher account.
Can I copy a classroom from one year to the next?
Not as a one-click copy, but you can:
Keep last year's classroom intact for reference
Create a new classroom for the new year
Assign the same courses
Add this year's students
The old classroom remains accessible for grade audits, parent questions, and your own reflection.
Can students see each other's grades?
No. Students see only their own grades and progress. The Rankings/Leaderboard view shows relative position (rank order) but doesn't reveal others' specific scores beyond the leaderboard metric.
Can students see what other students are doing in the simulators?
No. Each student's simulator activity is private to them. Only teachers can see student-specific simulator data through the Student Performance tab.
Can parents access their child's progress?
Currently, parents don't have their own login. To share progress with parents:
Send screenshots from the Student Performance or Gradebook tabs
Use the Parent & Guardian Letter template from the Teaching Toolkit
Discuss data in parent-teacher conferences
Does Intertwined integrate with Google Classroom?
LMS integrations (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology) are available on the District plan. For other tiers, manual coordination is currently required (e.g., posting Intertwined assignments to Google Classroom as link-out).
Does Intertwined work in languages other than English?
Currently, Intertwined's primary language is English. Some content may be available in other languages depending on initiatives and pilots. Contact support to discuss specific language needs.
Can I see what students see?
Teachers see a fundamentally different interface than students (the Teacher Portal vs. the Student Portal). To see what students see, you can:
Create a test student account with your class code on a separate browser or incognito window
Log in as the test student
Browse the student experience firsthand
This is the best way to understand exactly what your students see when they log in.
Can I assign different content to different students?
Differentiation is currently primarily at the classroom level β all students in a classroom share the same assigned courses and assignments. For more targeted differentiation:
Create multiple classrooms with different course assignments
Use the Student Performance tab to identify gaps and have one-on-one conversations
Pull specific lessons from the Teaching Toolkit for printed differentiation
How do I print student work or grades?
Use your browser's print function on the Gradebook or Student Performance view. For more polished printed reports, take screenshots and assemble them in a document.
How current is the curriculum content?
Personal Finance Core Foundations (2e) is updated for current standards alignment, tax laws, and economic context. Legacy versions reflect their original release period. Major content updates are typically released at the start of an academic year.
Can I edit Intertwined's lessons?
The in-platform lessons aren't directly editable β they're designed to be ready-to-teach. For customization, use the Teaching Toolkit materials (lesson plans, slides, worksheets) which are editable formats (PDF, Google Slides, Google Docs). You can adapt those to your context.
Does Intertwined work for adult learners?
Yes β many higher education institutions use Intertwined for college-level intro finance courses. The Pro plan includes OpenStax courses from Rice University specifically for higher education audiences.
Can I use Intertwined for tutoring or one-on-one work?
Yes. Create a small classroom for the student (or students), assign relevant courses, and use the Student Performance tab to track progress closely. The platform doesn't impose minimum classroom sizes.
How do I provide feedback on the platform?
The thumbs-down on Claude responses doesn't apply to Intertwined β but we welcome feedback! See 12.3 Submitting Feature Requests and Bug Reports.
Is Intertwined accessible for students with disabilities?
Intertwined supports common accessibility needs including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and adjustable font sizes through browser settings. For specific accessibility requirements, contact support to discuss accommodations.
Is my classroom data private?
Yes. Intertwined follows student data privacy best practices and complies with applicable regulations (FERPA, COPPA, state-specific laws). Teacher and student data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See our privacy policy at intertwinedfinance.com/privacy-policy for full details.
Can I export all my data if I stop using Intertwined?
Yes. Contact support to request a full data export of your classrooms, assignments, and Gradebook data. We provide this as a CSV or similar standard format.
